Case study - having experienced difficulty understanding the complex approval processes for their alarm and immobiliser system to meet European insurance requirements, a global vehicle manufacturer approached SBD for support in gaining approvals.  SBD carried out a thorough design review of their systems and also evaluated their approval processes in the main European markets.  SBD was able to strip away the complexities of the approval processes and also identify practical cost reduction ideas on the design of the systems to make them more cost effective and still able to meet the insurance requirements. 

Outcome - the client was able to fully understand what they need to do for each target market, streamline their approval process and the solutions implemented resulted in a net cost saving of €10 million in the first year of sales.
