The GSMA announced the nominees for the 16th Annual Global Mobile Awards. The winners will be announced during an afternoon awards ceremony and evening party on 15th February 2011 at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
"The GSMA warmly congratulates all the nominees in this year's Global Mobile Awards," said Michael O'Hara, chief marketing officer at the GSMA. "Our judging panel once again faced a daunting challenge in determining the nominees this year, selecting just 115 nominees across 10 categories from more than 470 entries. To have been shortlisted in such a highly competitive and innovative field is a tremendous achievement and we look forward to recognising the winners and celebrating their success at Mobile World Congress next month."
David McClure, SBD’s Director of Telematics and ITS, is a member of the judging panel that reviewed the categories including ‘Best Mobile Advertising and Marketing', ‘Mobile Innovation, Social and Economic Development', ‘Best Technology', ‘Best Use of Mobile for Business and Enterprise' and the ‘Green Mobile Awards'.
