Vehicle Security Industry Insight

We are pleased to announce 3 new recruits to our Secure Car Team, who will be supporting our expanding research and consultancy activities.  Here are some short introductions to our latest members:

Sam Nelstrop (Project Manager)

Sam joins us from Denso, one of Japan’s largest domestic suppliers where he was a technical liaison engineer between the designers based in Europe, and the Technical Centre in Japan.  He is fluent in spoken Japanese and will be located in our Nagoya office where he will manage some of our key accounts providing technical support on all aspects for vehicle security system development.  Sam has a Masters Degree in Advanced Technology Management and is an expert in new product introduction.

Tim Lewis (Junior Analyst)

Tim studied Product Design Engineering at Swansea University, and has a background in the principles of design and manufacture. Tim will support the research for our Secure Car projects, and help to analyse and maintain a range of databases as part of the activities of our Advanced Research Division.  He will be responsible for helping to maintain the information in our core knowledge areas.

Shawn Genus (Project Manager)

Shawn has 10 years experience of working with Automotive OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers as a Project Manager specialising in production processes.  He spent one year as part of a team establishing a production facility in China to produce automotive cables.  He has a degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and will be bringing his knowledge of turning designs into products to the Consultancy Division of the Secure Car Team.

We are sure that you will join us in welcoming all three of them to SBD and we look forward to them working with our expanding client base in the near future.  If you have a research need, a strategy that needs a guiding hand, or a product design problem that requires a solution, then SBD have the right people to help.  Contact us at security@sbd.co.uk for more details.
