Toyota Land Cruiser V8 was awarded best Large 4X4 in this year’s British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards held at Thatcham on June 17th.

SBD security specialist, Paul MacSweeney, collected the award on behalf of Toyota. Paul said “To maintain this position, ahead of some very stiff competition, is a credit to Toyota and SBD who have worked hard to provide the very highest level of vehicle security on this top of the range model.”

SBD has been working with Toyota on a global basis now for more than ten years but it is the UK that leads the way in security. With an office in Japan, SBD’s specialists are able to liaise directly with the design and development functions inside Toyota Motor Corporation to ensure that new models in the development pipeline will achieve class leading security performance.

From October this year, Paul MacSweeney will move to SBD’s Japan office in Nagoya where he will support SBD’s clients allowing them to gain the benefits of his experience in meeting UK insurance requirements and allow them to understand the detail of this dynamic and complex subject.
